Courses and workshops

After a good few years learning bladesmithing & blacksmithing its been good to start teaching people to make their own knives. I currently do this at Old Pound Smithy in Woolsery. Here we focus on true off grid, back to basics blacksmithing, doing all the work by hand. This is a bit of a crash course for people but I like to think that it’s a good way to experience a trade, and many established knifemakers will have never made a knife by hand. Meeting a lot of interesting people has been good fun and i’ve seen it spark an interest a few times.
