Western petty knife
Handforged, single steel carbon knife. Stone ground finish with a solid wooden handle.
A well sized, western shaped petty blade suited to a good range of kitchen work. This knife has enough length for long, single cuts on meat and fish, and although slightly thicker on the spine, its shape still lends itself towards filleting and fish prep. Well suited to everyday vegetable prep but due to its high hardness at 62hrc it isn’t suitable for deboning meat.
Wa style octagonal handle of magnolia wood with a blackwood collar. Lightweight with a central balance, this handle is comfortable in the handle and medium sized allowing for a good range of grip. The tang is burnt in to give a secure, well fitting finish.
It is a carbon steel blade, so over time will develop its own unique patina and colouring, this is normal, and reflects your cooking habits. It will require some basic care.
By purchasing this knife you are confirming you are over 18 years old and I accept no responsibility for anyone imitating or purchasing a blade for anyone under the age of 18.
